Jeremy Wilson Joins Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors

Jeremy Wilson, a personal injury attorney in Ward and Smith’s Wilmington office, has joined the board of Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity.
Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit dedicated to making homeownership possible for more families in Pender, Duplin, and New Hanover Counties. The organization partners with local residents, volunteers, donors, and future homeowners to build and renovate homes. Since 1987, their work has helped over 400 families secure safe, affordable housing—often through hands-on volunteer labor and financial education for new homeowners.
Jeremy’s involvement with the board reflects his longstanding interest in community service and neighborhood development. As a board member, he’ll contribute to decisions about where Habitat focuses its resources and how it can keep supporting families beyond move-in day. The organization’s model stands out for its emphasis on partnership: future homeowners put in “sweat equity” and commit to learning the skills needed for long-term stability.
The impact of Cape Fear Habitat is clear across the region: stronger neighborhoods, improved opportunities for families, and thousands of hours of community volunteer work every year. Supporting this effort lines up with the values that guide Jeremy’s work—and our firm’s belief in the positive difference local engagement can make.
