Business North Carolina (“BNC”) has recognized 17 Ward and Smith attorneys as Legal Elite for 2019.
Since 2002, the publication has honored top attorneys from around the state who were chosen by their peers in the awarded legal category. Only about three percent of attorneys are selected for this distinction each year.
The Ward and Smith attorneys recognized as 2019 Legal Elite are:
Lauren Arnette, Family
Wes Camden, Criminal*
Alex Dale, Appellate
Angela Doughty, Intellectual Property
Paul Fanning, Bankruptcy
Sam Franck, Real Estate
Lee Hodge, Business
Paige Inman, Young Guns
Will Oden, Employment
Caitlin Poe, Criminal
Joe Schouten, Litigation

Wes Camden was also recognized by Business North Carolina as the top attorney in the Criminal category, meaning he received the most votes. He now joins Jim Creekman (retired), David Ward and Brad Evans in the Legal Elite Hall of Fame. According to BNC’s rules, he is no longer eligible to win in that same category.
